Back in 1925, life was very hard for ordinary people. Poor Dobbs and Curtin meet Howard, an old gold prospector, in a lodge. He calls them to the Sierra Madre Mountains to search for treasure. They bargain for everything they need.
The old man, who has seen a lot, warns them that the sight of gold will change their character. They will become greedy and angry, but the boys don’t believe him. And in vain – something begins to happen to Dobbs. He is plagued by suspicions.
The director himself appears as the tall American from whom Dobbs asks for coins.

There is no room for kinship in pirate feuds and enmity. The main character, Morgan, who learns that her father is being held captive by his own brother, is convinced of this. She tries to free him, but the mortally wounded father dies and asks her daughter to shave off his hair.
She does so and discovers a treasure map on her skin, in the form of a tattoo. Will the girl be able to get to them, because all around are evil and cruel people with no morals?
The movie did not pay off at the box office, it was considered a failure.
The pirate Doga’s gun, with a skull on the handle, was later used by Barbossa from Pirates of the Caribbean.

There is a lot of humor in this movie, which attracted Chuck Norris, who played one of the main roles.
