An experienced investigator, Joe Deacon, recognizes the handwriting of a criminal from many years ago in the new murders and offers to help Baxter with his investigation. 

However, Baxter is determined to go it alone. Eventually, Deacon begins his own investigation which leads him to new leads. 

The film was shot in the Los Angeles area using real locations.

The screenplay was written by the director in 1993. It has been in development since then.
