The internet investigation genre was invented and created by Timur Bekmambetov with his 2018 movie “Search”. “Missing” is an independent sequel to that story.

He hires a connoisseur of the capital’s “bottom” Gilyarovsky and together they go to Khitrovka, the most ghastly gangster lair in Moscow. Here the partners will have to investigate the real murder of a local robber, an Indian with a mysterious past.
In May, the film was shown in theaters, and in August there was a TV premiere on the channel “Russia-1”.
