The action of the movie is set in Iran around a talented and persistent boy Afshin. The young man dreams of dancing, but in his country it is considered illegal. So he learns the moves on his own, using clips on YouTube. To hide his clandestine lessons from the local police, he puts on a performance in the desert, and later at protests he still falls into the hands of the Sharia Guard.
The movie is based on the biography of Iranian dancer Afshin Ghaffarian.
Most of the filming took place in Morocco, while scenes in Tehran were shot in Casablanca.
