An ironic look at the Wild West from sunny Turkey. In 1881, Sultan Abdulhamid of the Ottoman Empire assigns two secret agents, rugged and trained fighters Aziz and Leme, to deliver a priceless diamond the size of a man’s fist as a gift to Garfield, President of America.
Along the way, they encounter a culture completely unfamiliar to them, are attacked and stripped of all supplies and the gift, and set out to recover the treasure, encountering ideologues, bandits, cowboys, and the stubborn opposition of the main villain, who is both sheriff and pastor. Indians with frankly ottoman faces and manners add a special charm to the comedy.
The star of the movie, famous actor Cem Yılmaz, who played Aziz, said that no one from the crew laughed once during the work, which is hard to believe.
The Lone Ranger

- Starring: Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Ruth Wilson, Barry Pepper, Helena Bonham Carter, Bryant Prince, Stephen Root, Leon Rippey
Gore Verbinski’s superhero movie, set to the music of Zimmer and starring Johnny Depp as an eccentric Indian, is more of an adventure drama, and afterward a western and comedy. However, it is one of the best Indian movies of all time, and at the same time a fictionalized story of the origin of the Lone Ranger, a character no less popular in American culture than Superman.
The action takes place in 1869, when a young lawyer John Reed witnesses a violent gang attacking a train carrying their arrested leader Cavendish. Soon John, already as a Texas Ranger and in the company of the escaped from prison Indian Tonto, will have an adventure-filled journey on the trail of Cavendish.
This movie has a complicated fate. It was conceived in 2002, changed 4 companies, the script was rewritten several times, the list of approved actors changed, different directors were appointed, production was suspended, the premiere date was postponed.

Ned
- IMDB Rating – 6.3
- Genre: Action, Comedy, Western
- Production: Australia / 2003
- Director: Abe Forsythe
- Starring: Felix Williamson, Abe Forsythe, Damon Herriman, Nick Flint, Joseph Behr, Jeremy Sims, Caitlin McDougall, Drew Forsythe, Michela Banas, Tim Richards.
Described in 2006 as “the funniest Australian comedy of the last 10 years”, this film mocks the legendary outlaw Ned Kelly and his showbiz-inspired romanticized image as a folk hero. The main action takes place in the town of Glenrowan 1880s, where Ned Kelly and his gang periodically rob the same bank with varying success.
And begins the career of a criminal very ordinary. One day Ned decides he’s had enough of working on his father’s rubber plantation, gets on a pony, tears off and puts a mailbox on his head as a makeshift helmet, and leaves his father’s house.
Arriving in Glenrowan, Ned sees a job ad for a position in Hughes’ gang and, after a successful interview, gets a place. The boy quickly becomes a favorite of the townspeople for his wackiness, and soon, to the dismay of Hughes, he and his associates begin to be called “Kelly’s Gang”.
At the Australian Logie Awards, actor Abe Forsyth, who played Ned, arrived on a Scottish pony. Good thing he didn’t have a mailbox on his head. 🙂

- Starring: Rajendra Prasad, Nassar, Rambha, Raju Sundaram, Vinay Pathak, Ashwin Mushran, Sandhya Mridul, Ranveer Shori, Kishori Balal.
A funny comedy western from India, created as a parody of serious Indian westerns in which the heroes dance, sing and are overly fond of tearful melodrama.
Murugan is a Tamil cowboy-vegetarian and self-proclaimed hero, who considers it his duty to protect people from villains, though with little understanding of the classification of the latter. The embodiment of universal evil Murugan considers the owner of the restaurant Reddy, who dreams of creating the perfect national pancakes with (oh, horror!) meat filling. And our hero is also torn in a love triangle, unable to make a choice between two lovers.
The superhero Murugun (Quick Gun Murugun) was invented in 1994 for the Indian pay-TV network Channel V.
