Brody teams up with outlaw Louis (Mike Colter) to keep the passengers safe from ferocious rebels out for the blood of outsiders.
The literal translation of the picture’s title is Plane. After its release, the creators promised in the near future to present a movie Ship with Coulter in the role of Louis, but Butler will appear there only in a cameo role.

The author’s version of the film also tells the story of how Mr. Hughes was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder, which led to his extreme suspiciousness.

Surprisingly, despite the dangers of such a landing, there were no casualties on board; everyone was evacuated from the held-on-water plane fairly quickly, and the matter seemed to be settled.
Nevertheless, Sullenberger was considered responsible for his and his assistant’s failure to land earlier – when the plane was already damaged, they were flying near a couple of airports… The ship’s commander is still awaiting trial.
No crash has ever happened without at least not too many casualties; the pilot in this film about airplanes, based on real events, managed what seemed in his time to be simply impossible.

The events on which the plot of the film is based were covered in the documentary Pike over the Ocean, filmed by the National Geografic Channel. There were no survivors of that disaster.

One day such a helicopter wants to land nearby. But it, too, collapses on the surface of the ice, just like Overgaard’s car. A girl survives, the helicopter’s co-pilot dies in the crash. Now there are two people waiting to be rescued among the snow and bears.
The first version of the script is not about the icy Arctic at all, but about the Martian terrain; later they decided to change the story a bit.

The same director who created this film also made a film called Passenger about a former policeman caught in the web of crime. The main character was played by the same person who played Marx in Air Marshal – Liam Neeson.

At first the release of the film did not have any loud and generally noticeable effect: it was not immediately considered one of the best films about plane crashes, but many years later this picture in the minds of fans of psychological thrillers has become legendary.

Ted Stryker is a former military aviator. He became acquainted with his lady of the heart, Elaine, during the long war that the United States of America fought in Vietnam. Now their relationship is broken.
Stryker is flying as a passenger on a plane, but then one of the crew members gets food poisoning. Ted has to steer the plane, overcoming gruesome war memories and listening to the air traffic controllers on the ground who make attempts to help the military pilot save the people on board.
In 1981, the film won the Screenwriters Guild of America Award as a perfectly adapted comedy film.
