1981. The Glatzel family notices that strange things are happening to their child, David. After talking to the boy, the parents learn that he is possessed by a demon. Wishing to exorcise the evil entity, the parents decide to perform an exorcism. However, during the ritual, the demon moves from the child into David’s sister’s boyfriend, a good-natured guy named Ernie Cheyenne.

The hero does not believe in otherworldly forces, but soon realizes: the devil really exists. Ernie manages not only to see the demon, but also to be on the bench. After all, it was the fault of the infiltrated creature that he killed a man.

The film is based on real events that took place in 1981. In the real story, as in the movie, there was a boy allegedly possessed by a demon and his sister’s boyfriend, who, after a ritual, became the second victim of the otherworldly creature.

It is not known whether there really was a demon, but Ernie Cheyenne’s lawyers (in real life the man’s name was the same as in the movie) tried to convince the court of the plausibility of this version.

The events of the film unfold in a fictional world reminiscent of the Middle Ages. Hunger is everywhere, and it is difficult to find a decent job. But 16-year-old Gretel needs money especially badly. Tired from hunger, Gretel, together with Hansel, on the advice of a hunter, sets out to the woods to find work for the woodsmen. On their way they come across a hut with a table laid with various treats, and, tempted by the seemingly kind hostess, they decide to stay. But it soon turns out that the woman is a witch, and she has very creepy plans for the heroes.

The horror film was based on the Grimm brothers’ fairy tale “Hansel and Gretel”, but the film also has thematic elements from another work of the authors – “The Tale of the Enchanted Tree” / “The Tale of the Juniper”.

Only few people know that the underground explosion was not the only reason the residents fled: in the mine, workers ran into pure evil.

To keep the creepy creatures out into the world, the tunnel was barricaded and the town was abandoned, erasing its coordinates from the maps. But a group of young geologists don’t believe the scary stories. Hiring a girl guide named Arianna, the guys set out in search of Shookum Hills to investigate the abandoned mine.

This is the second film in director Bradley Parker’s career. The man’s first work was the film “Chernobyl Diaries” (2012). Like “Shookum Hills” (2021), it belongs to the horror genre.

The script for the film was ready back in 2009. However, they could not find a director for it for a long time. All refused to shoot the project because of the strong employment. In the end, the film was directed by the screenwriter – Zack Snyder.

In the movie, the demon’s name is Palistes, which is an allusion to the Palystes genus of hunter spiders. They actually exist in the world and live in South Africa.

But questioning the neighbors and contacting the police yields no results, and the house is terrifying with unusual occurrences.

When the women discover that Edna has not disappeared and has been in the house all the time, Kate and Sam decide to put her in a nursing home. However, soon the heroines realize that there is real evil within the walls of the mansion, and it is not going to let them out of its clutches.

For director Natalie Erika James, the film was the first feature-length film work.

For actress Diane Rigg (she plays Miss Collins), the film was her last film work. The woman passed away long before the premiere and they decided to dedicate the film to her memory.

The man recently escaped from a mental hospital, but has already managed to kill four teenagers. Millie was supposed to be the fifth victim, but the girl was lucky to escape.

Only in the morning the heroine discovers that she and the maniac have switched bodies. “The Butcher” does not mind such a change, because now he is waiting for a trip to school and an unforgettable hunt. Millie, however, does not want to accept her fate. The girl is going to put everything back the way it was, but it’s hard to do because the police are looking for her new body.

All in all, the film took 35 days to shoot.

The film was based on the novel The Shrine, which was written by James Herbert, and was the first feature from Evan Spiliotopoulos where he served as director.

The film belongs to the franchise called “Halloween” and is the 12th part of it. This location is indicated by the 12 pumpkins shown at the beginning of the film.

But because of the unexpected death of a woman, the girl remains with her father. The little girl takes the loss of her mother hard, so she finds solace in the images invented by Jeff. However, the illustrations turn out to be alive and very evil.

Actors Rupert Friend and Simon Quaterman (in the film they get the roles of Jeff and Alan) previously played the role of the same historical figure. Both men had appeared on the set as Prince Albert. The guy agrees to a dangerous game in the entourage of a Soviet prison, but does not believe that it can really surprise him. Except that very soon the blogger realizes that the quest is really a threat and it will be difficult to pass it to the end and stay alive.

It took a little over a month to shoot the film.

Noelle and Addy are student friends. Together the girls rent an apartment in Manhattan and live an ordinary life. However, everything changes when one day Noelle meets a strange woman. The stranger introduces herself as a real estate agent and tells a terrible story about their apartment. It turns out that the apartment belongs to a billionaire pervert.

For a long time, the man used the room as his lair, so the walls of this place have seen a lot of horrors. Wanting to understand the details of the former owner of the apartment, Noelle begins to conduct her own investigation, but soon notices that her friend Addy is doing something strange.
